From the highs of achieving All-American status as a collegiate athlete, to the lows of a life-altering past health struggle, I've realized how important it is to take care of the one body in which we have to live our lives. With this belief and passion, I've been lucky enough to turn improving the lives of others into a career.

Because of my own experiences I was able to easily understand the issues faced by friends and implement the strategies I had used to help them improve their own lives. People with limited time for the gym and no ability to prep meals were seeing how easy it can be to make improvements. It was amazing to give guidance to others while seeing the happiness and personal growth it brought to them. Whether it's helping busy single moms tone up to feel strong and capable or helping single guys gain muscle and shed fat to become confident and disciplined. The passion to help others grew so strongly that I decided to pursue my dream and make it my life's work—to show others that fitness, health, and strength is more than just lifting weights. It's a Lifestyle.

I believe in lifestyle-based personal training and nutrition coaching. I want to learn about your life, your goals and what's important to you so that we can put a plan together to help you achieve your goals for the long-run.

I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sport Medicine and certified in nutrition through Northwestern Health Sciences University. I was a high school and college athlete. I started competing in Olympic weightlifting in 2013 and have won multiple State titles, and have also been a nutrition and lifestyle coach for a function medicine clinic since 2013. My background and experience has equipped me to work with a diverse clientele and enabled me to take a whole body approach when coaching my clients.

My goal is to be your support system, accountability and biggest fan as you embark on your journey to be your fittest and healthiest self. I look forward to the honor of walking beside you on your fitness journey.

Daniel Plack

As a third-year medical student, I have spent a lot of my time in classes at the University of Minnesota Medical School learning about the human body when things go right and especially when things go wrong. My passion is to use the knowledge I have been given to help people live a life of health, both mentally and physically. Health to me means so much more than going to the gym two, three, or four times a week. Whether we are aware of it or not, our health is a factor in every decision we make and is affected in a myriad of ways by how we choose to live our lives.

What we all learned in middle school health class is not sufficient education for us to live as healthy adults in our on-the-go society. Knowledge is power, and there is no shortage of wrong information available at our fingertips. Now more than ever, people need someone who is capable of taking the massive amount of health information available and interpreting it for their lives. Armed with that incredible knowledge, I work with my clients to build a plan for health and growth incorporated with education. My goal is that each of my training clients is confident in their ability to make their own health decisions and capable of using health information as leverage to propel them into the healthiest time of their lives.

My passion for health and wellness started after falling in love with the fitness guru himself, my husband, Stephen Menya. (If you have not read his bio yet, please do and you will understand where I am coming from.) I have always been a healthy, active person, but after meeting Stephen and seeing how much I could change the way I feel and look by just being more conscious of it completely inspired me. My desire is that everyone would receive the same inspiration to better themselves at some point in their lives.

Our body is a temple that has been given to us by our Lord and Savior, and we should do whatever we can to take care of it. This one body is all we have! I love inspiring people to take care of their temple. Seeing the look on someone's face who now can bend over and tie their own shoes or successfully go up a flight of stairs without losing their breath just gives me the shivers.

Opening Lions has been that blessing to us. A place we would like everyone to be able to call their home gym. A place of community with no intimidation. All are welcome and we truly mean that.
